1/14/14: In this article, Behe, whom you cite prodigiously,
appears to have gotten a good smackdown from a staff
writer of the Stanford Review. At the top of the article however, he was given
some support by Tristan Abbey. She wants to take a “wait and see” approach,
though ID,
may indeed be a laughable idea and its proponents
relegated to the dustbin of crackpot theories, alongside the Flat Earth and
Marxist-Leninist “science.”
In this rebuke, Behe’s own
Department of Biological Sciences at Lehigh University communicated their
embarrassment over his positions.
Here is Behe’s paper, prominently cited in Casey’s
article. Note how proud Behe is of his affiliation
with Lehigh University. But I googled the paper. It
has beautiful squirrely scrolling print at the top. If I wrote something I
thought was so important, I would want squirrely scrolls at the top too!
However, it just doesn’t seem to be important four years after its publication.
I was able to find this blog post on it. I would be too
embarrassed to reference the piece after such a review! I don’t expect Behe to be included in that publication again soon.
